Phonebloks
THE PROBLEM
A phone only lasts a couple of years before it breaks or becomes obsolete. Although it's often just one part that killed it, we throw everything away because it's almost impossible to repair or upgrade.
DESIGNED TO LAST
Phoneblok is made of detachable bloks. The bloks are connected to the base which locks everything together into a solid phone. If a blok breaks you can easily replace it; if it's getting old just upgrade.
BLOKSTORE
It's like an app store for hardware. In the store you buy your bloks, read reviews and sell old bloks. Small and big companies develop and sell their bloks. You can buy a pre-assembled phone or assemble it yourself by selecting the brands you want to support. The choice is yours...

Titan Arm
Our team is designing an untethered, powered, upper body exoskeleton for use in the fields of rehabilitation and therapeutic application, as well as occupations requiring augmented strength. Though systems exist, past exoskeleton endeavours have led to bulky, expensive, invasive, and tethered solutions. The challenge is to build an exoskeletal system that is inexpensive, streamlined, and wireless.
Our solution is unique in that it will be a low-cost, ergonomic device actuated through sensors measuring the user’s motion. Through onboard sensing, the skeleton can provide rich data, such as range of motion for use in physical therapy. This data can be used by doctors and patients to more accurately track improvement over time. With its low cost, hospitals could employ multiple devices and aid a larger audience of patients; the devices could even be used at home for physical therapy, which would dramatically increase quality of life for patients.
Outside of physical therapy, augmented strength is applicable to physically intensive occupations, as well as search and rescue operations. Each year, thousands of workers must take leave due to injuries triggered by heavy lifting; with augmented strength, workers could avoid harmful situations.

CatchBox
We want to get people eating local seafood again.
We also think responsible fishermen should be paid a fair price for their catch.
We hope you do too.
How it works
Catchbox is a type of cooperative known as a "Community Supported Fishery". We connect you with small fishermen who use responsible methods, so that you can enjoy delicious, locally caught seafood with a clear conscience. We are a not-for-profit community co-op, run by volunteers.
You pay for a share of a fisherman's catch and over a 10 week period you'll get a regular supply of seafood, straight from him.
You choose whether you want whole fish or fillets, on a weekly or fortnightly basis, enough for two or family size.
You won't get to choose what fish you’ll be getting, it depends on what our fishermen catch that day. But that’s all part of the fun! We can guarantee that it will be fresh, local, responsibly sourced and utterly delicious.

We are a small farm based in the beautiful village of Eridge Green on the Kent/Sussex border. We operate a mixed farming system of animals and vegetables, and we aim to offer you the biggest range of produce from our small piece of Sussex land, while always maintaining a high quality of goods.
As an outlet for our hard work we have opened a farm shop on site. Here we sell our own farm made products, other locally produced goods, plus a few other bits we think are truly worth your cupboard space! In addition, the Gill Wing Group has a workshop in London where we have restored vintage secateurs and axes into full working condition while maintaining their vintage beauty. There’s many treats to behold, so you will have to come and visit us to find out more!

Chris qualified as a Baker and had several jobs until he became the Bakery Manager at Sainsbury Cambridge for 7 years. This was a huge learning curve and when his business took off in 3 months, he asked Harpal to join him in this exciting new venture.
Harpal had been to Ecole L’Notre & Cordon Bleu and in 1994 won the Chocolate Award from the British Baking Industry.
Harpal continued to excel in her craft spending lengthy periods in Paris to seek new ideas being taught by arguably the greatest chefs in the world, such as Claire Clarke, Stephan Glazier, and Alexander Bordeaux
1996 Chris was the runner-up for the Baker of the Year, competing with huge companies.
Finally. Chris and Harpal moved to Surrey in 2002 and Chris won the prestigious Baker of the Year Award from the British Baking Industry. Their motto ‘with a conscience is paramount to their desire to maintain the highest standards in patisserie.

Farm 432 - Insect Breeding
By 2050 meat production will have to increase by 50%. Considering that we already use one third of croplands for the production of animal feed, we will have to look for alternative food sources and alternative ways of growing it.
Farm 432 enables people to turn against the dysfunctional system of current meat production by growing their own protein source at home. After 432 hours, 1 gram of black soldier fly eggs turn into 2.4 kilogram of larvae protein, larvae that self-harvest and fall clean and ready to eat into a harvest bucket.
This scenario creates not only a more sustainable future of food production, but suggests new lifestyles and food cultures.
