Anti Fly Sphere - José de la O

The use of a plastic bag full of water hanging from the ceiling of several taco kiosks on the streets, is a traditional way to scare flies away in most of the food markets on urban Mexico. The refraction of the water, amplifies the colors and movements for the sensible eyes of a fly reflected on this sphere, scaring it away, making it the perfect sustainable pesticide, on a way that the insect remains harmless and the food is free of flies.

The Anti Fly Sphere is entirely made by hand at a family owned glass workshop in Mexico City. Is made out of Borosilicate Glass, which is thinner, lighter and can resist abrupt thermal changes...

Flow(t) - Nao Tamura

The reflections of the Venetian cityscape glistening on the evening water hints at an imaginary city below the moving surface. There is a border between the world under and the land above. In the city of Venice, where the real world and fantasy coexists, this chandelier is the embodiment of the beauty of dual worlds.
“Flow(t)” is a contemporary chandelier inspired by the colors of the Venetian lagoon and customized to the desires of each owner. Each piece enjoys its own shape, and in multiples, they create a sculptural display of lighting.

General concept: Nature is becoming rare in daily life.  In the way the urbanising world is generally built and planned, our everyday surroundings are increasingly perpetual and static through conditioned climates and 24 hour lighting. When unpredictable natural elements such as a lifting breeze, a sudden shower, or a setting sun are planned out of our surroundings, the timeline of our everyday is lost.

Nine hand-blown glass vessels that use the dimensional characteristics of water and the way it holds and refracts light, to create a new way of dimensionally drawing in mid-water..

A textile fixture for indoor and outdoor use. The technique from manufacturing tents inspired Jeahna. A gigantic fixture in three sizes 1,5 to 5,5 meter in diameter. Even the largest model only has a weight of a few kilograms and fits into a small sack, not larger than a regular suitcase. Jeahna has the latest LED technique as standard with Dali and Rgb as options.

Close Up is available as pendant as table light.

The bone china pieces , inside the glass form, are slip casted and hand carved individually by Cristina Vezzini . 5 different types of Bone china pieces are available ( line- small line- dots -geometric- holes)

The glass Pieces are free blown by Sheng Tsang Chen so that each one is unique and bespoke.

On the glass, bubble-lens were created to distort and magnify the view of the Bone china inside. The Bone China appears distorted and magnify as looking insidea microscope. The connection between the material Bone China and the ‘immaterial’, light allows me to create a connection between the visible and invisible natural world.

Boundary Pendant - Faudet-Harrison

The Boundary pendant lights come in two different shapes, Boundary 120 is a spot light, and Boundary 300 is both a spot and ambient light. Made from powder-coated spun aluminium, each light has two parts that are joined with small stainless steel fixings. The internal spun section in both lights is finished in pebble grey and has a gentle inward curve at each end. Boundary 120 has a slim outer shade, whilst Boundary 300 has a wide shade, both are finished in white. The Boundary lights are simple, restrained and effortlessly graceful. The Light sculpture Forms in Nature resembles Darwinist Ernst Haeckel’s drawings . Using a simple action, such as intensifying the brightness at the center of the artwork, the light transforms the space and adds character, as the work throws oversized shadows onto walls and ceilings in the space in which it hangs.

The light sculpture Forms in Nature is partly inspired by Ernst Haeckel’s (1834- 1919) detailed plots from nature and is a further development of Hilden & Diaz’ fascination with mirrorings, as they have previously applied in other artworks.

Forms in Nature is a artwork with a light source surrounded by a dense and unruly tree and root system created in minature sculpture. The forest is mirrored around it’s horizontal central axis and forms a circle 360 degrees around the light source and thereby leads one onto the notion of a real world versus an underworld...

TikTikTik - Bitplay

 

TikTikTik is the perfect light for reading or even just cuddling a bit before bed—or for people who otherwise forget to turn off the light! Pulling down on TikTikTik’s pull chain sets the length of time the light is on. The further you pull the chain, the longer the lamp stays on. The lamp pull retracts silently until a few minutes before the timer runs out. The light dims and then turns off.

BANG! - Bitplay

BANG! is a desk lamp with a gun-shaped remote controller. User can fire the “gun” to turn the light off. The light goes out and the lampshade knocks to the side, showing that it’s been hit. To turn it back on, simply shot it again, and the lampshade will raise up slowly and turn the light back on at the same time.
