IKEA – HOMEMADE IS BEST

We wanted to ensure a connection between IKEA's kitchen appliances and one of the best things you can do in a kitchen, some great baking. So the main attraction in the campaign became a 140 page coffee-table baking book presented in a very visually unique and spectacular way.
90% of all the photographs taken in baking books look extremly alike. We wanted to try something different and present the recipes in a totally new fashion.

We let ourselves be inspired by high fashion and japanese minimalism. The idea of the book became to tone down the actual cake and put the ingredients in focus. The recipes are presented as graphic still-life portraits on a warm and colourful stage. And when you turn the page you see the fantastic result.

The baking book contains 30 classic swedish baking recipes everything from small biscuits to large cakes.

Sugru

This is Jane. She's from Ireland and she's lovely. Jane was studying product design at RCA London when she had an idea:   

"I don't want to buy new stuff all the time. I want to hack the stuff I already have so it works better for    me." 

So she phoned some clever materials scientists called Ian and Steve and together they invented an interesting new material for hacking things better. It's called sugru and is a little bit brilliant. You should really watch the video

PostCarden, MatchCarden - Another Studio For Design

Thanks for visting our us. We are Another Studio for Design, an independent London based company who are enthusiastic about creating charming products that respond to you and your environment. We like to think of them as ‘gifts for thoughtful givers’.

For our first product we looked at the most universal gift - the greeting card. We felt that this conventional card lacked surprise, bringing only a momentary enjoyment. The arrival of a greeting card or letter in the post can always brighten up your normal mail and bring pleasure but once opened its role becomes commonplace and static.

Our response was PostCarden - a pop up postcard. It can be sent easily in the post with room to write a personal greeting.

Appeel - TheGreenEyl

Appeel is a virus spreading through interacting individuals, it demonstrates the basic principles of interactivity largely reliant on people’s behaviour. A surface is covered by a large number of coloured stickers, positioned in a grid. People can remove stickers, leaving white spots in the layout, as a result individually and collectively changing the walls appearance. These stickers then take on a life of their own, as they spread, extending beyond the installation itself, infiltrating private space and merging the boundaries of public and private and private space.

Freezer Compost Bin - Fuccillo

Never throw food scraps in the garbage again! 

The Freezer Compost Bin (patent pending) is green, not gross. It’s the only collection bin for food scraps designed to be kept in your freezer, where your scraps won’t decompose, therefore eliminating odors and fruit flies completely!

It’s also a breeze to empty. It’s made of silicone, which remains flexible even when frozen, making a light push on the bottom all that’s required to pop your ice-cube-like frozen scraps out, leaving nothing behind. To clean, simply pop it in your dishwasher.
