Measure Ring Wheel - Dukno Yoon
This series originate from my fascination with geared wheels and is intended to create a kinetic ring that functions as a small-scale measuring tool.
These kinetic rings are designed and fabricated with precisely calculated gears and wheels. When the wearer rolls the primary wheel along a surface it measures length, which then can be read by the two hands on the top dial. Similar to the movement of a clock, the shorter hand indicates ten centimeters, the longer hand is used for one centimeter, while the tick marks on the wheel allow the length to also be measured in millimeters. These are kinetic rings, small sculptures, measuring tools and simply, enjoyable toys...

Wings - Dukno Yoon
Movement and interactive relationship with the body has been the most important element throughout my body of work. However through these works, I also started to explore the mechanical structure as a form. Mechanical structure becomes the most enjoyable form to me as it becomes complex yet remains simple and coherent.
The contrast between metal structural form and natural feather, together with the repetitive and whimsical movements of fragile wings, provokes the imagination and evolves the intimate relationship between work and viewer/wearer...

Fly Lamp - Micasa Lab
With the Fly Lamp, you'll never again be left in the dark. The floating lamp is carried by a hull filled with helium and can be easily used anywhere. The advantages are obvious: you save energy as you only use the source of light where it is really needed. Also, the light conditions can be adapted to suit the mood. And finally, you don't need a torch when you are outside at night or when there is a power cut. The Fly Lamp helps you always stay on the bright side of life.
A flying lamp which independently follows us and is always there for us – that is the new project from the Micasa Lab. Sputnik means companion in Russian and is a further development of the Fly Lamp. We will keep you informed of the progress of our bright companion...

Nebula 12 - Micasa Lab
With this spectacular research project, we haven't taken the stars down from the sky, but we have captured a cloud. And maybe, you will soon be able to take it home with you. This new development from the Micasa Lab appears to be a real wonder, but is based on a very simple principle: for Nebula 12, we combine liquid hydrogen with hot water to create a circulating steam cloud.
The light but stable creation can be used in many ways: Nebula 12 can, like a natural cloud, change in colour and brightness and thus can be used as a variable source of light for romantic evening meals, when doing homework, when reading or just chatting.
In the standard mode, Nebula 12 predicts the weather for the next 48 hours. A threatening low-pressure area is announced by a red cloud, and sunshine is shown in yellow. At the same time, the user can adjust the settings and define the source of information themselves. And the best is: regardless of how dark the cloud is, Nebula 12 never brings any rain. At least, not within one's own four walls...
